The company is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our team. The selected candidate will be mainly responsible controlling and directing the food preparation process and any other relative activities within our restaurants in Valletta and Mgarr.
Main responsibilities:
- Managing the team in the day-to-day running of the restaurant;
- Liaising with the restaurant manager to set up weekly schedules;
- Controlling and directing the food preparation process;
- Constructing new menus using new or existing culinary creations;
- Ensuring that the dishes produced are of highest quality;
- Plan orders of equipment or ingredients;
- In charge of training new kitchen staff;
- Managing budgeting and cost control;
- Empowering employees to provide high quality products;
- Fostering a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers;
- Ensuring that proper HACCP practices are followed.
Qualifications/experience required:
- Certificate in Culinary arts or related certificate;
- A self-motivated team leader;
- Able to communicate clearly with a variety of people at all levels;
- Responsible and trustworthy;
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or a similar position would be considered an asset.
