Maypole is currently going through a period of growth and require responsible Restaurant Host to join our team. This role involves shifts on weekends and public holidays on a roster basis.
Responsibilities :
Attracts clients to dine in our outlet;
Manages reservations;
Greets customers, escorts them to their tables or bar areas, provides menus and explain the menu.
Have a full and comprehensive knowledge of all the outlet and menu items offered.
Maintains a clean reception area;
Assists F&B and barista staff as required;
Ability to adapt, embraces strong cultural diversity and work in multi-ethnic teams;
Requirements
Food handling certification (A or B)
Fluent in English and Maltese
Previous work experience as a host/hostess or waiter/waitress
Strong knowledge of restaurant etiquette
Experience in managing reservations
Availability to work in shifts as needed
Hospitality certification would be considered an asset
