Job Description

Overview

Maypole is currently looking for a Restaurant duty manager who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurants.

  • Lead, train, evaluate, motivate and coach all service employees in the Restaurant. 
  • Ensuring all staff is following company policies.
  • Supervising daily shift operations.
  • Ensuring all end-of-day cashouts are correctly completed.
  • Appraising staff performance and providing feedback to improve productivity.
  • Interviewing/recruiting new employees
  • Handle complaints, concerns, or special requests for clients. 
  • Maintain safety and food quality standards
  • Ensuring customers are served food of the highest quality.
  • Ensure that the clients have a unique and distinctive experience. 
  • Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Control labour and operating expenses. 
  • Identifying ways to cut waste.
  • Creates and executes shift goals. 
  • Promote the restaurant in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience.

 

Requirements

 

  • Previous experience as a restaurant duty manager or a similar role would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to resolve conflicts calmly
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
  • Acute financial management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills preferably both in Maltese and English
  • Innovative
