Maypole is currently looking for a Restaurant duty manager who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurants.
- Lead, train, evaluate, motivate and coach all service employees in the Restaurant.
- Ensuring all staff is following company policies.
- Supervising daily shift operations.
- Ensuring all end-of-day cashouts are correctly completed.
- Appraising staff performance and providing feedback to improve productivity.
- Interviewing/recruiting new employees
- Handle complaints, concerns, or special requests for clients.
- Maintain safety and food quality standards
- Ensuring customers are served food of the highest quality.
- Ensure that the clients have a unique and distinctive experience.
- Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Control labour and operating expenses.
- Identifying ways to cut waste.
- Creates and executes shift goals.
- Promote the restaurant in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a restaurant duty manager or a similar role would be considered an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to resolve conflicts calmly
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge
- Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
- Acute financial management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills preferably both in Maltese and English
- Innovative
