Job Purpose:
To oversee the bakery production of Maltese bread and other maypole products, ensuring efficient operations and consistent bread quality in a mass-production bakery environment. The role includes hands-on baking duties and responsibility for supporting smooth bakery production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of bread manufacturing, from ingredient preparation to final baking.
- Ensure bakery production runs according to the daily production schedule.
- Manage and monitor mixing room operations.
- Monitor dough preparation, fermentation, proofing, and baking processes to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure proper use of ingredients, bakery equipment, and tools.
- Maintain hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards in the production area.
- Report production issues or equipment problems to management.
- Ensure bakery products meet quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
Requirements:
- Basic technical knowledge of bakery production processes.
- Experience working in a bakery or food production environment.
- Understanding of dough mixing, fermentation, and baking processes.
- Ability to operate bakery equipment under general supervision.
