Overview

Job Purpose:

To oversee the bakery production of Maltese bread and other maypole products, ensuring efficient operations and consistent bread quality in a mass-production bakery environment. The role includes hands-on baking duties and responsibility for supporting smooth bakery production processes. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all stages of bread manufacturing, from ingredient preparation to final baking. 
  • Ensure bakery production runs according to the daily production schedule. 
  • Manage and monitor mixing room operations. 
  • Monitor dough preparation, fermentation, proofing, and baking processes to maintain quality standards. 
  • Ensure proper use of ingredients, bakery equipment, and tools. 
  • Maintain hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards in the production area. 
  • Report production issues or equipment problems to management. 
  • Ensure bakery products meet quality, consistency, and presentation standards. 

Requirements:

  • Basic technical knowledge of bakery production processes. 
  • Experience working in a bakery or food production environment.
  • Understanding of dough mixing, fermentation, and baking processes. 
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment under general supervision. 
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
