The primary responsibility of the Bakery Dispatch Helper is to supervise all dispatch helpers to ensure safe, accurate, timely and efficient delivery of all bakery/pastry orders. They are also responsible for assisting the Dispatch clerk in preparing orders, verifying quantities and ensuring accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Fills in for the dispatch clerks in their absence to prepare invoices for bakery/pastry deliveries.
- Maintains a clean and organized dispatch area, free from hazards
- Accurately picks and packs pastry orders according to the invoice provided by the dispatch clerks.
- Organizes and stores products in an efficient and logical manner to facilitate easy access and retrieval. The products need to be organized according to the different outlets that they are going to be dispatched to.
- Ensures proper labeling, tagging, and documentation of items that are about to be dispatched;
Requirements:
- Experience as a dispatch helper for at least 2 years
- Food handling certification (B);
- Fluent in English;
- A valid C1 driving licence is preferred
