We are seeking a Production Manager who will be responsible for leading all bakery and food manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality products. The role oversees production planning, team management, food safety compliance, operational performance, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring production targets are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage daily bakery and food manufacturing operations.
• Plan and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand and business objectives.
• Ensure efficient utilisation of labour, machinery, raw materials, and packaging.
• Drive productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, GMP, quality, and health & safety standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and teams.
• Monitor and report on production KPIs, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics functions to ensure smooth operations.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Ensure accurate production planning, inventory control, and reporting through ERP systems.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a bakery, food manufacturing, or FMCG production environment.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a production management role.
Proven experience managing high-volume manufacturing operations.
Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP, and quality management systems.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics and/or SAP ERP systems, particularly in production planning, MRP, inventory management, and reporting.
Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Degree or diploma in Food Technology, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field as an asset.
Experience in continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies as an asset.
