Job Purpose:

The General Maintenance employee is responsible for maintaining the physical condition and functionality of Maypole’s facilities, including buildings, grounds and equipment. 

Responsibility:

• Assists with performing routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds and equipment;
• Assists with performing regular equipment, building and ground inspections as directed by supervisors. Communicates potential problems and safety issues to immediate supervisors;
• Assists with performing inside construction which may include framing, plumbing and electrical components as directed by superiors; 
• Ensures all maintenance work comply with safety regulations and quality standards at all times 
• Wears proper PPE equipment whilst conducting maintenance works  
• Responsible for the safety of individuals on the team and that of those impacted by any maintenance activities 

Requirements:

• Previous experience in general maintenance or a related field is preferred 
• Technical training or certification in maintenance-related disciplines is considered an asset 
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record would be considered an asset 
• Food handling certification (B); 
• Fluent in English or Maltese 
• Ready to work during the night and to work overtime in cases of emergency or when requested to
